Midsummer Music
On The Park

An audience of 1200 joined us and a host of stars from London's West End as they performed Songs from Stage and Screen.

This year's Midsummer Music was our 10th annual musical picnic in the park. We promised to make it the best ever with our 2 headline acts. We think it was - do you?

Thanks to everyone - EPG Fire & Security (sponsoring us for the 6th consecutive year), The WestEnders, King Pleasure & The Biscuit Boys, Al Dean (Sound) our willing volunteers and YOU, the audience, for helping to make our 10th anniversary Picnic on the Park a fantastic night ! It makes all the hard work worthwhile when we see 1200 people enjoying themselves.

King Pleasure & the Biscuit Boys proved they are the world’s greatest swing band. We know, because they proved it in Audlem !

Returning for a second year, The Westenders took the event by storm, warming us up with songs from Joseph, Grease, Phantom, WestSide Story, Les Miserables and more.

With quick-fire costume changes adding vivid colour to their performance, they swung into the ever popular Queen numbers from We Will Rock You and ABBA's from Mama Mia. Suddenly hundreds were up dancing in front of the stage.

As the night reached it's finale, with loud cries for more, the Westenders obliged and seemed to be enjoying themselves as much as the audience before the evening ended with the traditional fireworks.

And what about the fireworks. Once again, Blitz Fireworks put on an awesome and fitting finale to what was the greatest Audlem Picnic in the Park, ever.

Photos from the evening will be available soon in the Midsummer Photo Music Gallery .
