In the village, for the village

Audlem Special Events Team (ASET) is a not for profit organisation run entirely by volunteers dedicated to making Audlem a vibrant village.

ASET was established in 2001 after a nucleus of the team successfully organised a bonfire night in 2000 to replace the show previously held in Hankelow. The success of that night gave them the idea of establishing a bigger team to organise several events - in and for the village – supplementing all that was being done by other organizations.

Each year since, ASET has held summer Proms in the Park, Bonfire nights and Festivals of Transport. To date over 30,000 people have enjoyed the events, organised to the highest professional standard.

In the run up to Christmas each year the ASET team get together with Santa and the Round Table, touring the village to collect for local charities.

Since its founding, ASET has raised £25,000 for local organisations.

Plus vital support from a wide group of willing volunteers without whom the events would not be possible.
